Sir James Chadwick was a famous English physicist.
He was awarded the 1935 Nobel Prize in Physics for discovering the neutron in 1932. During the Second World War, he was the head of the British scientists that worked on the Manhattan Project. In 1945, he was knighted for his outstanding achievements in the field of physics.

James was born on October 20, 1891, in Bollington, Cheshire.
