Is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and stage performer whose original name is Sunday Adeniyi. He is often cited as one of the first acts to export the Juju genre to the international markets and is often regarded as one the best and most iconic Nigerian singers of all time.
He is also known for popularizing the Juju genre which is a hybrid of Western Music and traditional African music in Nigeria and abroad.

King Sunny Ade hails from Ondo State Nigeria and he is a Yoruba Man.

He was born into a royal family in 1946 whereas he was a member of the Adesida Dynasty.

King Sunny Ade's mother Maria Adegeye was a princess and worked as a trader while his father was a pianist at a local church. At the age of 5, King Sunny Ade was already into music.

He was enrolled in a grammar school in Ondo State but later dropped out at the age of 17 to pursue a music career in Nigeria's capital, Lagos.
